Racing to save a liv­ing relic of the Revolu­tion

A 300- to 350-year-old oak that stood at South Carolina’s Eutaw Springs Battlefield during the Revolutionary War is undergoing specialized restoration to preserve the living piece of history for generations to come.

Nonprofit buys 160 acres of SC Revolutionary War battlefield

The SCBPT has acquired 160 additional acres of historic Hanging Rock Battlefield, protecting a key piece of South Carolina’s Revolutionary War history from future development.
